I'm getting pretty good at playing whack-a-mole with the snipers though, I'm not getting headshotted nearly as much anymore

idk it's way too easy in rifle vs. huntsman to shoot at the huntsman user, and, assuming you don't kill them, go back around a corner, wait for the huntsman user to spam an arrow hoping that you'll come around the corner right then, then go back around the corner

You're speaking strictly sniper vs sniper, at short to mid range, I find the huntsman much more useful than the rifle, and even at longer ranges, simply spamming a blind corner will net you kills as well

My long range sniping isn't that great, same with my "up in my face scout gtfo" sniping. But I can do close quarters pretty well and mid range sniping.

PS: You shitty "sit in spawn" snipers gfto. Sure when the round starts it's fine so you don't just run out and die by everyone, but five minutes into the game and you're still in the same spot?

I've found that huntsman is really good against a team with a lot of heavies since you don't have to charge headshots.

Problem is hunstman maxes at 350, you will not kill an overhealed heavy :-\

I think you miss the point of the role the sniper plays. Sometimes to accomplish a task a sniper has to stick to one spot. I remember many times in SOCOM, Call of Duty and even Halo where I would sit in one spot and fend off waves of people...or sometimes in the case of SOCOM I would sit there just to take out one target to accomplish a mission.

Believe it or not the sniper class in any form is a team player (I know right?). The sniper can be the front line..who has the ability to completely stop or stall a battle before it even happens..or the last line defense where everyone on the team is gone and all that is left is you and your high powered rifle. How exactly you accomplish doesn't always matter, but the end result should always be the same.

You should be an anchor for your team.

Yes because most of the time they aren't getting kills and they are only watching a small section of the map. Many times I have seen spawn still when the majority of the team is located in a spot where the sniper being in spawn is useless. Of course this doesn't really apply to many regulars of the server (although some do it!), I was sort of just ranting when I had posted that.  :p
