sniping is really all about practice, i have like 200 combined hours of it across games and i'm only just a little better than the average sniper.

@cbrex  the new croc shield is really nice, extra 25 hp which is really handy

yea I crafted one today. thinking about trying it out tonight or tomorrow to see how far 25 hp really goes.

It's a specific weapon counter that's used one time against one class. I think it's pretty worthless unless you're dry humping a sentry, or around juicer backstab targets like a medic. On the bright side, I get a bit of Ambassador practice.  :p

saved my ass a loot of times. and it causes spies to decloack near you..which if you are a good sniper you can usually hear it.

Still feels like you can accomplish backstab prevention, and much more if you use Jarate with the shiv/bushwaka. Maybe it's just me, but Jarate annoys me as a spy a dozen times more than a razorbad could ever hope to.

Yea, but do you find yourself going out of the way to take down every sniper with a razerback? It usually deters any action from happening..it automatically puts the sniper lower on the totem poll on target value since you have to go out of the way to uncloak/reveal yourself in highly populated areas. The only time the razorback doesn't work is when the sniper is alone in a low traffic area.

I've been going after razorback snipers whenever I see them simply because with the polycount kit I'm not relying on disguises to get around, so I need to remove them from simply being around. Shoot twice with cloak pistol and stab in the face with knife. Normally they die before they pull out of scope. Poly kit makes that so much more feasible, what with being able to decloak while standing on their heads and not be heard.

It's a counter against the number 1 danger sniper's face. It's easier to fight an ambassador spy than the backstab.

The problem I have with the razorback is that you're only helping yourself with it. It's completely useless to the rest of your team when compared to something like jarate. I'm sure that my team mates like it when I use jarate. Jarate can be used to help yourself and your team. Be it by putting yourself or others out of fire; which I'm sure my teammates enjoy greatly. Maybe just throwing it on an enemy group to help other teammates have a better chance of winning a fight. And of course throwing it on cloaked spies. All of those things help you and your team.

Compared to jarate, razorback is shit. (SEEWHATIDIDTHERE?)

I'm sure that my team mates like it when I use jarate.

What I used to play that other class, when I saw a sniper chuck jarate, I would do almost aimbot on the people covered.

I would also normally ignore spies near razorback snipers

Zero, your knife is "stunned" for about 1 - 2 seconds as well

I break razorbacks just to giggle sometimes, because then I dead ring, and trololol when I backstab them a short while later.  Unless it's Liquid, then I gotta play smart, which is always a drag.

The SS has some huge trade offs but without having to worry about headshots you can fire pretty rapidly without worrying about your aim. Then you sort of play as a general, marking the best targets for instant kill. Of course this only works when your teammates are smart enough to target the pissed on guy. The jars then get used when the enemy team is grouped together.

I mean if your liquid with your headshots the SS is probably worthless, but if you are like me and decent but not excellent it is a surprisingly tactical weapon.

I thought the same back when you could pierce through people with it. Now it just feels like a downgrade due to it's massive drawbacks.
