That's why I put a question mark on the title. I've been assuming the engi updates were next since Robin openly talked about it in that one interview, but I'm not sure. Who knows? If I find something I usually post it here to see if it is credible or not. And it makes for good discussion.

There is also a very fake newsstory from shacknews floating around talking about the Scout update coming this thursday or something.

It really takes ALOT of work to release new unlockables when you think about in the way that blog lays it out.  So far so good, Valve is kicking ass with TF2!

It's a testament to Valve that they list the effort required under "extra" and not under "constraints". That's what makes them the studio that they are.

Personally, I can't imagine many ways you could fundamentally change the chaingun to make a lone Heavy more viable. Perhaps an turbospin that lasts a few seconds, but with the weapon doing less damage the rest of the time. That would make it easier for him to defend himself or assault alone in a pinch, but he wouldn't be able to hold his gains without Medic help. Or maybe a gun like the Blutsauger, which restores his health as he hits so he can sustain himself longer alone.

I can imagine that the Knuckle Dusters would be included, but I can't think of how they would draw a compromise with them. Guaranteed crits with a slower fire time? Increased damage if the enemy is hit while retreating? Causing a rout [i[is[/i], after all, the Heavy's domain. Or maybe they require that you charge your way up to deploying knuckle dusters.

And for the shotty... I can't even imagine what they would do.

Wow, that gun would be crazy! It would be interesting, if it's real, to see how they would pull that one off!

This is great, though! After Heavy Weapons Guy, the Soldier is the only other class in my top 3 favorites to yet receive an update! FYI, Pyro is the other class... 8)

If you played MegaTF, the popular QWTF mod it has something similar. It really chewed up ammo.

I don't trust the site itself, but at the moment I am trying to figure out where they "found" this picture. It's probably fake considering all the shit that's been floating around lately. But the fact they are updating heavy next is very real so it may be real..?

lawl. I was talking about the site that has the picture of the BOFOR canon. The picture itself looks fairly good, but I can't find the actual source of the picture.

I would love this update.  I used to really like the heavy, but he is a bit tricky.  From any range the spread is too wide to really do anything, and his shotgun is mostly useless except for when you run out of ammo or to shoot while running.

It'd be nice if he had something that had a much smaller spread, but was gimped in other ways.
