@caff:have you thought about making a message that is shown in server while people are playing saying something along the lines of: "brbu servers will be unavailable on the 23rd at ??pm because we'll be opening maddd giftpacks for everyone in the server, register on the forums for more information.."  directing them here , increasing registration .. and maybe get enough people to fill out 48 spots .. since it seems like we are over 24 now.

same checks and rules would apply to the nubs

I'll front page it, I think what is best done in terms of promotion is group announcements to get more people who are Steam Group / Server Regs to migrate here, I'm not sure how much the CRON messages get read.

However, everyone else feel free to talk the event up casually while playing, maybe a server reg or two will like what they hear and stop by
