Valve has made it to a point where whatever they make has to be right so the 10 trillion suggestions they get from that thing about pyros being over powered are probably left unread. Maybe it automatically deletes messages with any two of these words "Soldier, rocket, pyro, flame, backburner, overpowered, fuck you valve".

[/quote] No what they need to do is have the damage drop off, it works like this (Numbers not actually 100% accurate, but reflect what happens) Direct Rocket - 100 Very Close (hit ground by feet) - 75 Mid (hit little farther away) - 50 Far (Hit wall behind you) - 25 Crit Rockets Direct - 300 Very Close - 300 Mid - 300 Far - 300 There actually a tiny bit of drop off at the Mid-Far distances, but its so negligible that even an over-healed soldier is going to have <75 health coming out of a hit. What it should be Direct - 300 Very Close - 225 Mid - 150 Far - 75 Also fix melee hit detection, Im sick of getting stretch armstrong'd by spore  Sig by Joel |

At least with the other stuff I can pretend bullets can shoot through thin walls or something. I die all the time from uber/bonesaws that are nowhere close the touching me. To be honest, I don't notice it as much with other melee weapons, it's still there, though. Also, as for the corners...snipers and sentries are my biggest problem here. I often find myself getting headshot'd or mowed down by a sentry when, according to my field of view on my monitor, I am behind a wall or corner. |

I would appreciate Valve upping the damage a solider does to himself with his rockets. Rockets, hell even crockets, don't bother me that much when they hit from a distance. What I can't stand is a soldier just firing at his feet, gibbing me with a crocket, and when it shows his health in the death cam he's missing maybe 15.
I play a lot of pyro. The airblast is a gift from god that has made the class viable and something that needs to be paid attention to again. They're right on with that, and it needs to stay. The backburner is a crutch with a neat gimmick, I think they recently made it a lot harder to get a back burn too. If it really is a problem they should ditch the back crits but keep the life. |

Eh, I'll throw in a shoulder / facestab complaint for good measure. |

My least favorite part is hearing these same sentiments a 1000 times everyday. Think about how many times you hear I hate crits/facestabs/pyros/stickies a day. We get it already, STFUAPG. (and what fail said).

I don't know about anyone else but it takes a really long time to get in game and then once in game the first map I load it hangs on "Retrieving Server Info" for a while.
After that everything is pretty smooth. |
