I've seen you guys for quote "hours on the server" and every time it's always resulting in "OMG THESE TEAMS ARE STACKED WTF THESE AG GUYS ARE STACKING AGAIN" and senseless chat spam rubbing it in to pubs you're tryhard-ing all over.


Don't teamstack every time to the point of at least 2 or 3 people at a time complaining, (don't be a dick) and things go nice.


Your bans were both only for 120 minutes, and have long since expired.

I do like how you posted this in the thread that's pointing out the recent problems we seem to have had with teamstacking, instead of simply following the sticky'ed post about admin complaints though. Very unabashed of you.

I'm an unabashed person when I feel vexed.  It was just Retro and I, and we were both off classing, which was the ironic thing - it's not like we were medic chaining or anything silly like that.  I Auto Join teams on every server I join, always... so it's not like I even picked the team I was on.  I didn't even hear anyone complaining otherwise I would have definitely switched teams, I'm all about fair play and people having fun playing this game... which is why I was so surprised that nothing was said prior to the kick/ban. 

That said, if there have been previous issues with AG members please get in touch with me at duder@agocmmunity.org and we can deal with those issue independantly of this matter.

Once again, not trying to start anything... and as far as I'm concerned the issue is resolved... unless of course there are other issues... which as I said I'd appreciate a heads-up from you guys so those issues can be addressed.

I think we're just touchy about it, had a huge flare up for a while when we had a group of players in UGC highlander, there was a group of 4 - 6 invite level players that would crash the server and just about kill any game that was going on.

And there was another team that was doing it repetitively with 3+ players, finally stopped after being threatened with a permaban, but Ive not seen any of them stop by in a while.

That aside, bans long since expired, if you choose to stop by again just be aware of it. Two people usually doesn't set off flags with me at least, but if you find yourself rolling its usually best to be proactive in balancing stuff out

I'm cool with any admins 120 min banning teamstackers after a warning. I know how frustrating it is to play when it is going on and how bad it kills servers. This isn't a competition server, we welcome all skill levels.

I would love to play against the SS peeps. I did a week or two and it was great. (Well, there were like three of them.) While I lost a 100-200 points stats wise, it was still very fun for me. Yeah, yeah, I know it kills the server because some people can't handle it and get frustrated and rage quit. Although, it is fun to make people rage quit.

Rule #1 - Don't be a dick


Don't shit where you sleep, ever, you just end up covered in shit. Keeping the server full should be and is priority #1, its both difficult and time consuming to seed, so would you like to spend an hour getting a game going only to have someone come in, grief, and kill the game?

It may be fun to make people ragequit (Do it all the time in planetside....), but its worse to do it to your friends in your own "home server", want to grief, take that shit elsewhere.

If you have fun team stacking and making people rage quit because sniping in any FPS by it's nature is the most powerful class/ability if you've got the ability to do it right with 2 or 3 others at the same time, then get the fuck out if I'm connected, it won't be nice.

That's not how you conduct a server or a community; I came to brb.u after the cs gungame community I ran a server for got slaughtered, our server was pretty much 24/24 between noon and 3 or 4 AM 7 days a week, then came the massive teamstacking that over the course of a year, completely killed it and the guy who funded the website and server called it quits.


Guess where it started?


When someone made a thread on the forums calling out like 5 guys who did it almost every night.

Woah, calm down. What the heck are you talking about now? I had not even quoted any of your posts, so do you know what I was talking about? Okay, first off I was commenting about your post about banning everyone in SS besides Cody and Liquid. Second, I never said I have fun team stacking. I don't team stack because I don't find it fun. I enjoy when others team stack on the opposite team.

Happened last night. Even after being told to stop and a scramble that split the stackers up, one of them changed teams anyway. This happened after lots of rolling and one of the #ss people saying to "play better" in response to our complaints, and I'm sure he's well aware of our stance on this stuff. I joined when the server was at 22 people. One map change and lots of rolling later, we're down to 6. That's killing the server.

It's not being a dick when you can just play better, it's being a dick when you co-ordinate with other good players to crush one team. When you are good at a game you have the added responsibility of keeping teams balanced in any game you have control over which team you are on. That's always been part of the gamer code. I've played games for a long time and I've never had fun crushing or getting crushed, the best games are always when the victory can go to anyone. I've never understood teamstacking because you never get better doing it and you never get challenged doing it. It's always better to find other good players and test yourself against them.

It's really not that hard to be good and not teamstack, and it's a big part of your gamer reputation as far as I'm concerned.

And what I was referring to was the fact they ignored my warnings about teamstacking over four maps in the span of less than an hour because we kept having to rtv to try to unstack the teams and their replies were "lol" "gotta teamstack" and "cry more" and then killed the server after 4 maps of pair pro snipers with a pocket medic support rolling every map.

It's such a bothersome issue, as on one hand, I love putting on my poker face serious mode and devouring teamstackers as spy (lolsnipers, razorback is still terrible against my revolver even if you are getting a handjob by a jackass medic.)

Problem is: it's such a depressing thing seeing people not as good or new to the game leaving due to the frustration of a few bad apples that refuse to compromise. Rule one should be to make sure the community as a whole is happy, we should save the serious stuff for the people who want serious stuff, you know?
