Well "some people" left for whatever their own reasons are. We can't just assume its because people didn't want stackers around.

But we can assume that an environment hostile to lone random new people will prevent new members.

part was aimed at one guy, another part at the other.

and tim, sometimes you play together, sometimes you play against each other.

Its not like none of us play this with friends, and wouldn't know the difference or something.

Get 2 or 3 on the same team, thats fine, get 5 or 6, that's going too far, so is making sure that no matter what happens, no matter what you're on the same team, even after people have asked you to please stop, or doing some weird shenanigans to abuse the games...balance?

IE giving a competitive sniper a constant overheal so he can't killed in any normal manner, headshot without building a charge that will get you killed, etc. That in itself probably isn't bad, but when the server votes to scramble the teams, because of said shenanigans, then you join spectate to force it to autobalance some other poor guy and join the same team again, is when it gets to be too much.

IOW I think the issue doesn't lie with what they are doing ,which can be countered though difficult, but the blatant disregard for admins, fairness, other players, and etc.

If any of this is really stupid/incoherent sounding or whatever.

I always join whatever team is losing if that's an option. I don't care if fellow BRB:U members are on it or not, hell, I have fun playing against them. There's a special type of joy when you're able to headshot one of the top snipers on our little dysfunctional family that you can't get if you're on the same team as them. You can still have fun if you aren't on the same team as your friend. Plus, with alltalk on constantly, you can still enjoy the various banters of dickfuckery BRB:U has to offer.

I'll have to admit I have never seen DBZ do any of the things I've been talking about.
He even recently apologized for taking a healthkit when I was on fire and critical near me.
So I'm gonna say what I said about him was a bit off and misdirected, and if he does read this, I apologize.

Not sure why there's so much discussion when you can summarize everything pretty succinctly.

Yes, people have their reason for teamstacking and the like. Good players gravitate towards each other, people would rather play alongside their friends, etc. People will do what they want, and we understand that, but that's not the administration's concern. That concern is pretty simple:

Teamstacking that is strong enough to imbalance the teams hurts gameplay--people have less fun. As a result, people will either quit or find a different server. This hurts the server, durp. The people responsible are (usually) warned or asked to stop. Almost universally, they don't acquiesce. So there's really no other option besides kicking or banning them if you want to keep the game for regulars/pubbies/people who don't enjoy getting rolled or rolling excessively. Our servers aren't big/popular enough to handle things like that, they're only populated for a few hours per day, and so the loss of 4-5 players because of teamstackers is pretty serious. So we do what we have to in order to self-preserve. That's it. Most of us do not like having random people--or our own members--stack a team. It makes the game less fun and at its base is unsportsmanlike. You don't blame the players having sand kicked in their eyes for not enjoying it, you blame the people doing it. It's not hard to find a different server where you can join the same team and the like--we just ask that it not happen here.

Although, I'm also a bit disappointed at a few of our members for how they've been behaving in this thread. In the future, if someone who was kicked or banned comes onto this thread to debate or argue, please let an admin talk to them and refrain from flaming.

This is my biggest issue. Circumventing team scramble or getting enough team stackers to manipulate scramble/rtv votes should be a kick/temp bannable offense. The mechanisms are there for a reason. Usually used after it is obvious that a team stack is warping the game play. These mechanisms should be seen as "OK, you've had your fun rolling and its obvious how good your combination is. Now lets do something less one-sided". The as Eightball said, the biggest consequence of allowing team stacking is rage quitting that kill the server and hurt the community.

That said I'd be fine with team stacking if they stopped after one round or a team scramble. But they never do.
