Ran some calculations, here's the number of shots fired after X number of seconds, assuming this is coming from no spin up:



Take it for what you will. In a situation where you're ambushing only one or two guys or are jumped by one or two guys, the Tomislav can be useful. But when you're spinning up already and/or facing a large force, the Minigun should reign.

Put another way: 20% dmg reduction on retarded is still retarded. And let's be honest here - with the regular minigun's rate of fire, is anyone really going to tell me that, as rapidly as it fires, they NEVER accidentally put an extra bullet or 3 into a corpse before swapping targets? Yea, didn't think so.



This reminds me of way back when backburner came out. +50 health, something like 25% extra damage, and for a short time, all flamethrower's had no ranged-falloff dmg. Who honestly thought that was a good idea

I've thought about it, just seems like a steep learning curve to get into something so late in the game. That, and Mon/Fri I have other commitments, and my work schedule is just sort of all over the place right now.

I think it now has fewer weapons than TF2.

New sniper weapons look great (especially since it sounds like there's no downside to the new rifle), but the demo getting more knight stuff really fucking pisses me off.

EDIT: The demo boots affecting charging implies that it'll replace the pipe launcher. Which means we're going to have people with melee as literally their only weapon. Jesus Fucking Christ.

EDIT - Nevermind, got it to work. new sniper melee looks meh, rifle is sweetness. New sheild is a straight upgrade form other shield. but the thought of a demo with no projectiles is funny.

Allegedly it starts out with a 20% slower charge rate so it takes 3 shots to beat a stock sniper rifle. Still, it sounds kinda scary if someone like Liquid is using it
