About highways...

I want to talk about the highways that are copy-pasted all across the maps all the time. They look really ugly. They make the map look really bad, and it's not necessary to have a 5-block wide highway for 1-block wide player to make his way someplace. Not only do these wide, straight highways break up the natural look of the map, but they are installed in such numbers as to bisect many biomes and features that could be used for building or just for scenery, which is a great feature of Minecraft.

Can we cut down on how many of these are installed, and can we keep them minimally lit (the highway someone put over my already-made small path in the new world has a lantern every 4 blocks!!!) and limit their size so they won't be an eyesore?

Plausible Reasons:
- Play with only one or two other people on a server with more people.
- Escape from neighbors who build terrible, horrible, ugly buildings, but still be able to visit them and say how terrible things are in town.
- Have a house with a view of something other than someone's sheep farm is nice
- Building lava towers in the middle of a wood town is generally a bad idea
- Have your build as a destination

By the way Nick I regenerated all the land I placed road on and gave you a smaller road that should be less intrusive on the nature.

I'd love for people to design new roads in the creative world and then have me convert them for laying anywhere.
Flying Mongoose and I made a suspension that can be put in just the other day.

Or at least a building code... Some of these houses on the new world look like a 2 year old made them (like the zombie tower flying boat thing).
