An interesting problem on server #2

There is an interesting problem going on #2.  As everyone knows this server attracts a lot of pubs of low to moderate skill.  A "clan" has been taking advantage of this by doing something that would normally be kind of funny but since it is being done so often it is getting annoying and causing a decent amount of rage quits.  What they are doing is organizing on one team, probably coordinating over vent and spamming one class, effectively stacking the teams every map/round.  Usually they go engineer but once someone decent gets the hang of taking them out they will switch.  Often they will get the rest of their team on board and it gets hard to sort out because this clan is of above average skill and it gets hard to pick them out as the threat when they get a bunch of pubs as the same class they are spamming.

Now this sucks because they are being very successful doing something you shouldn't be able to do which is using one class for victory, and they are doing it in a way that is extremely annoying for the other team.  Has anyone played with loqutus?  You know how he plays as engy where he hides a sentry somewhere good and then goes on the offensive so you are being hit by hidden sentrys and a player that is decent with a shotgun?  Well this is a group of people doing this in a coordinated way so they get lvl 3s up really fast.

Now there are various admin ways of dealing with this but its not really breaking the rules, its just odd and very much against the spirit of pub play.  It'd be like if our competitive players all went one team repeatedly and planned over vent.  So my solution is to unstack the teams.  Whenever they are successfully doing this on #2 all someone needs to do is put up an announcement on the brbu steam group.  If you see this come to #2 and join the opposite team.  This only works because #2 doesn't see a lot of regulars and there are too many good players that frequent #1 for the teams to be stacked and for a large group going one class to be effective.

Ideally if we do this enough they will either give up and play somewhere else or play properly.  Unfortunately if we don't deal with it #2 will get a bad reputation if they do this too many times.

I wish one of them would come here so we could be like look I know your not technically breaking the rules but you are screwing up our server so stop or we will have to do something more severe.  No one likes team stacking especially if it happens every game.  If you are on ume.'s team switch because the other team needs you.  Hopefully we can deal with this the right way which is just to kick their asses  ;D

They generally have too many up to do anything.  The best way is to start demo and while they are in disarray rush all your other good people/classes to clean up the rest and not give them time to rebuild.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was their game unfortunately.

I think there might be a plugin, but anyway, my proposed solution would be to just call for backup. Find some BAL-SAK people or something on steam let us know and we'll come in and anti-team stack.

I think messaging people, like you said, is probably the best solution. If I'm on Steam I'd be happy to join #2. I'm not necessarily the most skilled player though.

They really don't do well against any organized effort for obvious reasons, but more regs need to go on #2 so that we don't get groups like this taking advantage of the pubs.
