FNF - 7/25/08

Not much special to note for tonight, just one map by the same guy that did cp_mof_a4, but a CTF map, and we can always use more good CTF maps. I wont be putting any more customs on #2, clears out for the most part everyone unfortunately even on TFT/FNF.

ctf_npire_v2 - very well detailed and nice looking ctf map, good ctf maps are unfortunately too few and far between, so hopefully this one might have a chance at rotation.

Also I think I'm going to be taking pl_dbheights off rotation, if someone would like to suggest a replacement, preferably a CTF map, leave suggestions.

Hmmm, if you really wanna try another map tonight (if Geoff's isn't quite done), VilePickle's put out remake of the Quake Team Fortress CanalZone (not Team Fortress Classic, but it still looks cool)

No. The readme says it's not cz2, it's a remake of canalzone, which I've never played.

What ever happened to that cz2 we tried a long time ago? I can't remember if that was good or not.

The other one we played was done by someone who probably wasn't the greatest mapper, and cz2 is tricky because it was a heavily modded gameplay to begin with.  One that is currently not supported.  What the guy did was basically port cz2 exactly even the textures and not account for flag pushing or territory control based point scoring (in the original you got X points per X time holding a point).

So basically everyone hated it and it didn't play smooth.  Except those of us who had nostalgia glasses on and were all giddy.

Herre endeth the story of cz2 beta.

Kay.  I had to install windows on the extra 20gb partition.  Then, once it was up, I popped in my sister's jump drive and cut all of my hammer files into there.  Then I wiped both partitions and formatted on to one big one which is installing windows right now.  There is a small chance I won't make it tonight.
