BTW, if you guys ever notice me on TF2 playing MvM on a locked server, if I'm the one hosting, the password will always be "open"; so come on in!

force of nature kind of owns with the MvM upgrades. It's still one animation: open it, put a handful of shells in, close it, but now that you can drop 6 or 8 shells into it, that one reload cycle is putting you back into the action with a full clip.
also demoknighting is not completely useless if you put all your credits into sword and blast resistance |

Some thoughts on Demoman MvM.
You can choose decently between LnL and stock grenade launcher. Having played with both, I think I prefer the latter. LnL is marginally superior for chipping away at tanks, but not having rollers means that taking out groups of medics (especially at the distance mandated when they're healing a giant fucking heavy) becomes much more slow/difficult. Additionally, you're left with nothing to do when approaching/retreating and at great distance. With stock GL, you can spam artillery-style at chokes and groups. And thanks to the huge volume of enemies, shots you miss can still easily find new marks! However, I do recommend the scottish resistance. Offensive stickies are great in normal TF2 for clearing points & objectives and punishing masses of enemies, but the reload--even with upgrades--is tough to deal with. I'm going to try a pure-sticky run sometime before I cast final judgment but I think a 14-bomb crit sticky trap can have more utility. Don't bother with melee weapons. However, if you're going to run pure melee, I'm inclined to say the chargin' targe trumps the splendid screen, as with crit-on-kill melees, you won't be relying on the smash of the shield to deal damage/kills. Increased resistance will help you more in the long-run. |

I'm going to explore Widowmaker Engi. It offers pentration, so standing next to a dispenser with a 600 metal clip may make for catastrophic amounts of sustained fire.
On the flip side, any SG engi is a fool not to use the Frontier Justice as a Primary. Even if your SG survives the wave intact, destroy it anyways for the maximum 35 revenge crits. Free redeployment during setup make this a no-brainer, in addition any lost SG's during a wave won't make your output drop completely. Wrangler as a secondary is a must, a pistol is useless, and I suspect(although not tested) a Short Circuit is utterly pointless considering the volume of fire incoming to the effective range to the metal cost, in addition to not having a wrench out for repair/resupply. The only wrench any engi will ever need is the Jag. Everything else is useless to a mid-round reconstruction; if you have a wrench out for offensive purposes, you're gunna have a bad time. Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Widowmaker is easy mode. (hat tip to Boney)
If you hit with even 1 pellet then you get metal back offsetting the -35 to pull the trigger, and if you hit with most of your pellets then you'll wind up with more metal than you started. It never needs to reload; there'll always be one in the chamber if you have 35 or more metal. Put a couple dots into rate of fire as well as penetration, and you have a "Hold M1 To Win" autoshotty. |

Fontier Justice is amazing even without ever upgrading it. I have been messing around with SG engy builds and find that increase attack speed with your melee weapon + Jag = EXTREME rebuilding if it comes to that. Otherwise, wrenching on the SG at breakneck speeds can take down even the biggest giants ( if you have the metal to back it up ). I find that the dispenser is better used somewhere that a heavy, pyro, or other classes in the fray can replenish. That being said, it seems better to build where there are the big ammo upgrades that completely fill your metal. Still havent found the sweet spot for point distribution. Seems that increased SG health and firing speed are the most important.

Invite me anytime! I'm sick of playing with downie pubs! Every time I see the Tomislav and a Gibus, I just want to start screaming at them. This evening, I suggested moving the gun up and got told to suck a dick. Fuck these f2p's!

I'm happy it didn't kick me from the server when I had to duck out for a sec for the restroom.
