Maybe space in some "normal" maps, cause a custom marathon seems hard to fill.

We did that before, then the pop goes up and down faster than a crack whore smoking a meat pole. Stock -> Fills Custom -> Half-empties Stock -> fills again What people dont realize is, leave it on a fucking map for 5 - 10 min before you rtv, it WILL fill. #1 is one of the most popular custom map servers, if you leave it on the map instead of changing every 2 minutes when you immediately don't 'zomg adore' the map people will leave.  Sig by Joel |

I made a post to this effect last week but it warrants restating over and over until people learn. |

The server stayed full for Granary, IIRC. Can't be so unloved afterall. Also, even you laughed when I cancelled the RTV, don't deny it. |
True but that was only because I could force a vote afterwards, it shouldn't be done on a legit rtv... it's hard enough to get people to rtv as it is, if rtv is triggered it's usually because people really don't feel like the map that's being played... I know, dude. I'd like to think I have some tact. There were lots of admins about to set a vote and the vibe was good. Also, had I not cancelled it, we wouldn't have had all those fun times on Cowpath. Synchronicity, my friend. |

There's some plugin out there that forces a vote each round to choose the next map. You get like 3 or 4 choices iirc, the nextmap is determined that way. Seemed pretty cool imo.

I've often thought it would be nice to be able to vote next map, without RTVing and having to end the current map early. |
Sourcemod does not support this, there IS a plugin that does it, however it only works like 1/2 the time, TF2 doesn't properly trigger round_end and other stuff like that, so it never goes off. The thing I dont like is seeing regulars RTV immediately when a map changes, everyone is guilty of it sometimes, even myself. I always see rtv more as a 'team is getting steamrolled, new map pls' to scramble the teams and move on. Â Sig by Joel |

TF2F has it working on their servers if I'm not mistaken. They had to finagle the vote scramble plugin they were using to get it to work proper without crashing though.

I never knew mp_scrambleteams existed. The timer reset is a bummer but if the game is so stacked that one team rolls the other a couple of times in say five minutes, it's not a massive deal to restart? |
