NHL Playoffs (Yes Americans, it's time to watch hockey again)

I noticed that there was a baseball thread already sitting here on the forums, and it inspired me to begin a discussion (or attempt to) about a better sport.  Hockey.  Sure, I'm Canadian, so my vote only half-counts, but it's one of the most important times of the year, and I just had to check to see if anyone else was onboard for some hockey talk.  Before I start spouting shit, I need to see if ANYONE else around here gives a damn about the NHL, so I'm not just wasting everyone's time.

The Maple Leafs aren't going to be there, so all my opinions will be fairly bias free.  Unless Ottawa DOES make it in, where then my words will begin to spew venom and bile.

So?  Who's your team?

If somehow the Blackhawks magically make it to the playoffs thats who I will root for but I know if they somehow find a way into it they won't get past the first round.

Looks like the Preds and Flames clinched tonight, so the Hawks won't make it.  Sorry Tragic Hero.  I would have preferred them to get in over Nashville myself.  You have a great young team though, and should be pretty confident within a year or two.

True although the Hawks seem to like to trade away their great players in their prime:  Roenick, Chelios, Belfour, Amonte, and so forth.  But with the new owner lets hope im wrong.

Time to watch the Sens choke again, watch Detroit flipflop between winners and losers, watch the Habs gain a few bandwagonhoppers, and watch Pens make a better run this year. San Jose has balls this year, they'll see 3rd round at least.

Sigh at my Leafs yet again, at least this time around deadwood players are going to float away on buyouts.

I'm embarrassed to say it, but one hockey game I really liked was NHL Stanley Cup for the SNES. Just because I could regularly get 60+ minutes of penalties and still win. ^_^
