BEST GAME EVAR. Sailing is tons of fun.

Also, I never beat Ocarina of time, because it wasn't Link to the Past (meaning, it sucks)

twilight princess was good though

That's what the warps were for Tongue.

Oh, and this is at least my second favorite, if not my favorite, Zelda game.

Maybe it's the retro goggles, but while I agree there was more sailing than there needed to be it didn't actually bother me. Although I didn't mind staring at the nicely rendered sea and sky. Wink

Aside from the latter half of the game that begged for more dungeons, that game is definitely a masterpiece.

I think it was the scope of Windwaker that it made it one of the most enjoyable Zelda's to play. Although I have to say you're doing yourself a disservice by not playing Ocarina, Ice.

I'm going to say it was because I didn't play it until 2005 or so, but to me Twighlight Princess (along with several other Zeldas) is better the OoT. It's got all the good things Ocarina had, but doesn't have the ass look that all first gen 3d games had. :p

I'm noticing a distinct lack of Majora's Mask love in this thread... it needs moar.

The sailing was for people that like the excitement of fishing, but the convenience of videogames.

I played Ocarina when i got a gamecube (Master collection FTW!), and got bored in Ganons tower, and thus have never finished it. When i played Twilight, it was everything that i liked about ocarina, and didn't look like my ballsack, and was fun. Story was better in Ocorina though...

I get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I reminisce about sailing and the music. Damn I have to replay it sometime.

I liked MM's time-rewind mechanic, especially after you got the teleport song. Although I will say gunning for all 20 masks was excessive, considering some of the masks could have been omitted/merged. It was worth it having the Fierce Deity mask for the last fight though.

I think VC games are upscaled from the original resolutions, I know that the ocarina from the collectors edition was upscaled the 480i when it came out.

I'm with Eschatos but I fall in the category of seeing the Zelda series as being overrated.  Now I respect the series and I won't argue when people state that OOT is one of the best games ever but I don't see what all the "hooplah" is about.
