Counter-Strike/Obscure HL Mod Night

I <3 Counter-Strike. I was thinking it would be interesting to get some 1.2-1.5 patches and LAN that over Hamachi since our beloved WON is down for the count. (Although I did hear ways of using WON). Still, LAN would be easier.

I only have the 1.5 and the HL1110 patches.

We should have an obscure half life mod night.

Man I haven't played CS in years.  I'd embarass myself jumping right back into it and getting owned.  Would be quite fun though if we had a CS FNF just once.  Why do you need Hamachi though?  Do you not own CS?

I remember Battlegrounds. God that game was hilarious. I also seem to recall something about Line Battles. I wonder if real-life wars are as staged as they are in Battlegrounds. Though I do remember that the voice commands in that game were fucking win.

Wizards and Vikings?  Not sure about that one, unless you're talking about Pirates, Vikings, and Knights (PVK).  If so, I fucking RULED that game at one point.  It's actually my favourite of all the "Obscure HL Mods".  There's a PVKII out now, in beta, but I haven't touched it yet.  It's still a little too bare-boned for me to get into so far.

The Viking Spearman?  I was ALL OVER that shit.

No mention of Zombie Panic?  Such a shame...

When that game got to one last survivor, and they were GOOD... that was an intense game.  The mechanics that were put into that thing were soooo impressive.  You start off being faster than the zombies, but the more gear you carry, the slower you become.  Want a big gun and some ammo?  Be prepared to fight your ass off for it.
