Hurt/Heals work, you shouldn't take mine as an example.  There were a couple problems.  People weren't so willing to vote outside of their musical tastes, people didn't want to vote after the song they liked got killed, and people weren't voting consistently everyday.  Also there were too many at once, which diluted everything and got people bored with it quickly =(.  Basically I learned a lot about what not to do from that exercise.  A single hurt heal thread would be done within a week and would be a fair way of doing it I think personally.

Well if you can make it work Surf then yeah I'm down for it.  Otherwise I still think a simple vote would be quick and efficient.

Yea the only thing I worry about is that you would have trouble figuring out how long to let a simple vote run.  Plus once someone has voted they want the thing to be settled right away, hut/heals tend to keep people interested, and you always know how long to let them run.
