i've never had issues updating, but that's usually because i don't really have any sensitive stuff on my comp.

[/quote] get the WGA patcher tool, you'll never have to worry about it again. i've installed several updates since and whenever i click 'validate my windows' or whatever, it works fine ;D PS nice bizkit
