I have arrived in Hell (New Adress)

Ok so I hear a lot about people being rude in American airports, I have been on quite a few planes in my life and never really had the displeasure of experiencing that.

Anyway, I'm in Texas, computer access here is at a bare minimum because my computer doesn't have a monitor at the moment. Luckily one of my friends who I won't disclose because I don't know if they are ok with me mentioning them, is sending me a monitor for my birthday. And (might) sending me some computer parts toward a TF2 worthy comp. The details on all that are still being worked out.

What this means pretty much is I won't be on Steam or online much at all for the next couple weeks. I detest not having my own computer up. *Shackles*.

Ok she said I could include her name and gave me a list of the parts so here it is incase anyone wants to add anything (I'll pay shipping (when you send it) and a "used" price for anything you send me (when I get a job and can pay you back for it.)

Ceceil (You may know her as [WTF]Ceceil) Is providing me with the following:
LCD Monitor
Athlon 64 3200+ socket 754 processor
a GeForce 8500GT
cooler for the processor

After talking with her the rest I need is as following:"The remaining needed components for a computer are the motherboard, RAM, harddrive, power supply, case, and optical drive."

I do plan to get my own case so no one has to worry about that. Anything anyone wants to contribute will be greatly appreciated.

Go to Fry's Electronics. Best Electronic's Superstore in the world, and they're all over Texas. You'll be able to find whatever you need, and probably at a decent price too.


Also, boo at all of you talking shit about my homeland. Texas is awesome. Who's with me? I bet Versus agrees...

edit: Texas airports don't count. I saw a lady user her baby in a stroller to jam open a subway door.... But the rest of the people are fantastic. Honest!

edit x2: I bought a case here once. It arrived dented to hell. Called the company, they said UPS does that shit all the time. They charged it to UPS, and said that if UPS didn't come by to collect what was now UPS property (they wouldn't) in a few days, I could keep it for free. Your could also troll the Newegg Daily Deals sorting by lowest price looking for what you need. Subscribe to their newsletter as well. Lots of coupon codes, etc can be gotten that way.

Lastly, visit a Whataburger. You will forget anything bad you ever said about Texas... I almost want to drop out of school and go back to working there just for the stolen free food. Almost.

Yeah newegg's always good.  I've known plenty of ppl who have built entire systems from parts they bought off newegg.  They have some rather good deals too from time to time.

+1 for newegg, they fucking rock. Best customer service I have ever had, if a part is ever broken they will replace it very quickly, also if you break something during installation you can alway say it was DOA
