Thought I might as well introduce myself since it's sorta the polite thing to do when you meet people. My name is Sean and I've been gaming since my parents bought me an NES. I'm in college at Cal Poly Pomona where I'm learning how to be a mechanical engineer(consequently engy is my favorite class). I'm somewhere around 19 years old and for the majority of that time I've been a console gamer. I never had a computer with a dedicated graphics card till I recently built my own, so I'm watcha call a noob when it comes to pc gaming and pcs in general. I may be a noob but I'm willing to change. So tell me if I'm doing something wrong or yell at me to "get on point", and don't be suprised if I ask too many questions.  I also read comics so if you have any recommendations send em my way.

YAY I <3 you.

Um lets see I will list these mostly in order of must read-ness:

Lucifer
V for Vendetta
Sandman
Watchman
Fables
Ex Machina
From Hell
Frank Miller's Batman stories
Love and Rockets (warning lots of graphic sex, including some gay stuff)  ((umm not porn if thats what you are thinking, just wierd alt comic))

OK that order isn't perfect, I'm too indecisive.

Aha, more proof that Surf is gay! HAHAHA!

Also, don't do engineering. It is not fun. It is even less fun than playing the engy in TF2.

Don't knock it unless you've read it, it was recommended by another comic books as art guy.  Some of it is weird, I prefer the one brother who writes about a group of spanish girls growing up in the punk 80's era of california.  The other one writes about a tiny town in south america.  Some gay stuff gets worked in but it's worth the trauma because the writing is really good.

Doesn't anyone read the classics anymore?  Now this is a reading list:

Dantes Inferno
The Iliad
Hellenica
Aeneid
Crime and Punishment
The Idiot
Notes from Underground
Ivanhoe
Cantenbury Tales
Le Morte D'Arthur

Hah, no.  None of those have pictures.  Although I do think there is a "graphic novel" version of crime and punishment out there.  And I am sure frank miller could do an awesome rendition of The Iliad

I've read watchmen, Batman: the dark knight returns, and the first volume of sandman. I started reading ex machina at the bookstore but was to cheap to fork over $20 for one volume. You got any secrets on where to get comics/etc cuz my local comic shop is just as bad.

You could always go amazon - used.  Usually not too bad.
