Guess I should make my own damn thread. posted in one of the others. First off, Karrde is pronounced like "card". Not "Cardee", not "cared", etc. Been only like 5 ppl in all my life to get it right on the first go. Buncha nubs. ¬.¬ Anyway, been gaming since about 1985 when I got an NES. Been doing multiplayer since middle school when me, my bro, my friend, and his bro, would trade off playing doom over a basic 14.4 modem. Been gaming online since Jedi Kight came out. I feel old sometimes. Otherwise, I've got a BS in Biology, a BA in Japanese (wow my speaking/reading/writing ability has gone downhill) and am going to be starting nursing school in the fall. These days I pretty much only play TF2, but I used to play Natural Selection back when fr31ns was still together. We were a well known community that used to be tied to the cofr clan. Basically, a collection of dorks who wanted to have fun playing NS the way it was meant to be played - without a bunch of flaming asshats. When co mode came around, that basically dumbed down the game and killed off the good servers who really disliked the new mode.
Anyway though, I happened upon brb!u just playing random pubs. Initially, I hated that it was alltalk, but I had a good time, and joel and neonie made it hillarious so I favorited it. And well, I enjoy the easy going atmosphere and the fact that our admins are....what's the word....competent? Joel pwned a guy for being a complete mic spamming insulting prick. I liked that. So here I am, and I like this haven of lunacy and fun gaming
