I remember the old ones where you could do the complex mission plan that was programming the AI path for your teammates. I spent like, an hour working on once, and then just ended up abusing the AI and sniping all the terrists from where they couldn't see me.Â
Yeah those games are silly, I dun' really like tactical shooters =X. (09-11-2008, 05:11 PM)Dave link Wrote:i would totaly ride that gay ass dragon thing. |

I just got Mass Effect for $50. Haven't played it yet, but it looks pretty good.

DRIVING FUCKING EVERYWHERE! That and killing some random peeps in the same buildings, planet after planet, galaxy after galaxy.. Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

Everyone complains about the driving. It really wasn't that bad, people just didn't bother to adjust to something that wasn't crisp like GTA. Cry.
The story was one of the best I've seen in recent years. The setup for the next game was excellent. Enjoy it, it's a gem. As long as you can get past the driving, I guess. : |

No the mechanics were fucking broken, lets make huge craggy mountains you cant drive over at unrealistically steep angles Now lets make the orientation of the left analog stick CHANGE as you rotate the camera, Im sorry, but if I hold UP on the stick to drive forward, it should KEEP driving forward if I rotate the turrent around to shoot at something, I should NOT have to rotate both sticks to maintain a stable heading. Heh, I know what you mean. It's a problem with a lot of poorly thought out games. If you find just the right angle, you can climb anything! But seriously, of the 40 hours I put into that game on first playthrough, I'd say at least 15hrs was just. FUCKING. DRIVING. Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

I only had time to get in about an hour yesterday, but it's pretty good. I absolutely love the dialog system and codex. The combat is kind of broken however. You're only allowed to go into cover when you have a weapon out and half the time when I'm in cover it refuses to let me use the scope on my sniper rifle. It also sucks how only one class in the entire game is allowed to specialize in assault rifles. Mass Effect suffers from Deus Ex syndrome: despite the fact that you're a super soldier with awesome weapons, you haven't been trained in their use at all simply to make the game more RPGey. Aside from those issues, I like the game.

yeah , deep codex is deep. i read/listened to everything in there
if you're using sniper rifle , also get the biotic ability "Lift" , or someone in your party that can do it. i dont explain why because it will spoil the surprise |
