Asus vs Gigabyte

Many of us out there use alot of different motherboards.  I think i went trough about 10 different brands like DFI and ASRock but found only one that is worth using.  What you think?

Asus... just because I've used them for ages and haven't had any complaints yet... Stick with what you know works.

i'm rocking a gigabyte P35-DS3R right now and it's been pretty bonerific with my quadcore.

asus is also a good brand and i've had no issues with them in the past.

One thing is really good about the gigabyte products is the rma and service time.  I ve burned soo many motherboards in the past (overclocking) and they always were the best and easiest to deal with.

I've used both and haven't had much trouble with either. My gigabyte had a massive surge on the ethernet port but it didn't harm anything else. Just bought a nic and kept on computing.

Well, I don't overclock and tbh I've never had a broken mobo (at least one for personal use) so I've never experienced Asus' service.

Gigabyte because my onboard sound actually works in Linux. Nobody knows what the bug is with my Asus hardware, I've submitted a few bug reports, but it works just fine in Windows. Never had that problem with Gigabyte. Also, this is all just from my limited experience.

i was installin CPU fan on Kor's computer a while ago and the screwdriver got loose fromt he bracket , scratched across three copper paths near the socket.
had no noticeable affect

I've had problems with asus parts before... but i'm still using them, they always seem to have a good quality/price ratio.

Woah, boards are glitching.

Anywho, in my experience, while Asus's high-end boards are damn good, their low-end boards suck. Gigabyte's are passable from top to bottom.

It's really a matter of a gamble. Do you feel lucky?

This board's a Gigabyte, but I want to get a high-end Asus board for my college comp.

I had an Asus that mysteriously fried, but they replaced it. Never had a Gigabyte before.
