You can probably get an OK one for voice chat for $10 like Vandam said at any computer store or big-box retailer, hell most computers/sound cards COME with a mic these days

I found an ancient mic in my parents attic.  It's probably at least 15 years old.  I've been using it since I started TF2, and I really need to invest in a decent one that actually works most of the time.

I've got a $25 CyberAcoustics headset that I bought over four months ago. It works great. I've run over the extra-long cable with my chair to the point where the wire is showing and it still works. Seriously. WAL-MART.
