WTF? Thunderstorm warning: Don't drown?

Yea I turned on the television and there's a thunderstorm warning.  I only caught the end of the scrolling bar but it said seek higher ground and don't drown?

I think it said something like don't turn around which I must have misread.  It was the strangest warning bar I've ever seen though.

Also, "Do not drive your car through water covering the roadway.  Cars can be carried away by (x) of water."  What is it, a foot?

I really like the text-to-speech package they have.  That thing really sounds natural, and he says all our Louisiana parish names properly <3 .  That probably took a bit of phoneticizing.

same hear but for a while I was doing that too. a storm actually killed my surge protector and I was plugged straight into the wall for a while and thought it better safe than sorry. also thunderstorms are fine except when they manage to start forest fires with flames that want to lick my house
