Official Logo Thread

This is the basic idea of what I had in mind as for our logo and URL icon (the little icon that appears where next to a site name on a tab).

If anyone else has a better idea, or can make this idea look better then it does now, by all means be my guest. Brainstorm, come up with something good. I just thought it would be cool if we had our own little icon thing.

The little circle slash represents the "uninstalling" factor. The red and blue address the TF2 factor of our roots as a community, even if we move onto another game, never hurts to remember where you came from.  8)

I was seriously thinking about this the other day. Not so much about any sort of official logo, but about a Favicon for the forums. You see, I have quite a few bookmarks on my toolbar in Firefox. Every single one of them has to have a Favicon, it just looks good! Some websites I bookmark, however, don't have one, so I have to make one myself.

Anyways, here's the temporary one I'm using right now...



Keep it simple stupid! Now that I'm actually looking at it, I definitely picked the wrong shade of blue... :-[

I do like yours, though. The letters are just a bit too close to the edge of the icon for my liking, lol @ nitpicking. I might have to go back and re-type mine in the TF2 font! I love the backwards "R" too, reminds me of the band Korn, without all the fail! Maybe I can somehow incorporate the TF2 circle logo into the icon, might be too busy though...

Pick a minor of the above 2, then find something you can actually make a living from.

I'm gonna suggest MIS w/ graphic design minor, I've seen it do great things for business majors who were too stupid to make it in the school of engineering.

What does this have to do with a logo?  A logo smacks of organization and seriousness, I thought those were things we were staunchly against.
