My monster cat will be left behind in the care of my family. It takes a bloody long time to clip 27 claws.

She's part siamese or something like that, and happens to have natural mittens.

I'm sure I'll see you folks on IRC and the forums, because while HeK is working all day I'll have nothing to do. Probably. And I'm an addict, what can I say? Too bad the lappy can't handle TF2.

Anyway bye!

Austin.

However we are STILL in Chicago!

Our plane was delayed from Winnipeg for two hours and we missed out connecting flight.
We spent the night in Rosemont at the -fabulous- Hyatt Regency. Today we visited the Navy Pier and road the large fairs wheel. We also had a fun time riding the red and blue line trains.

At the moment we are back in the airport, our flight leaves in an hour.
This is the first time I was able to nab some internet, having to clone someone's mac to bypass paying the large access fees.

And I am in my hotel. They have free internet, and so does the 15+ access points I can currently see. This is excluding the additional ten that are using WEP.

It is 0200, I have to be up at 0700 for my second day of training, seeing how United stole my first.

I should have listened, and you should too; Never fly United. My four hour flight ended taking twenty-six.

We wanted to but we couldn't. It's not like we had a phone number, and HeK couldn't get any free internet; the prices to use the hotel's connection were sky high, so we had to do it on our own.

We didn't know that we would be stuck in Chicago.

We were only supposed to have one hour in the airport to catch our flight and move on, so we wouldn't have had time to do anything at all. This was totally unknown, dropped in our laps when we couldn't do anything about it.

If we could have we totally would have called. All day I kept saying "I wonder what Caff is doing right now? Probably sleeping." etc.

From talking with my American counterparts, Delta is just as bad as United.

Anyways, the food in Austin is good. Traffic is nice (driver's are not as good as the ones in Chicago) but I am going through TF2 withdrawal Sad

Caff, next time I am headed through Chicago I will make sure to have the necessary arrangements. Sounds like layovers are common at O'Hare. I'm going to contribute it to the bitchy airport employees.

It's practically a self-service airport. Run your own tickets, do your own security (wow did I ever pass a lot this time; watches, belt buckles, huge water bottles.) I don't think anyone was even watching the screens. No one checked our tickets further then seeing that we had something white in our hands.  :Smile

South. West. I hate the other airlines, over expensive and mostly just shitty. Soutwest is pretty cheap and I've never had a problem, or delay flying with them.

The second time we had a delay it was because someone threw up in the seats and they had to replace them.

I wonder if they vomited acid or something...
