Heath Ledger definitely played a more serious Joker than Jack did, plus Heath just won in overall sadisticness for the Joker. Especially just for the pencil trick. That alone got me my money's worth, honestly.

I loved the movie, that's all I have to say. Best 8 dollars I've spent in a while. Plus a guy died in the process of it, so that adds to the must see. I can't remember when he died, I just know he basically finished his main duties before he did.

The Dark Knight was well into post and Ledger had started work on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus but I agree that releasing the film posthumously, especially considering the character and the specific circumstances of the actor's death, does add another level to the whole affair.

well, there is only one guy whose version of the Joker is still number one in my books.  And that guy is Mark Hamill.

Hamill played the Joker for the entire DC Animated Universe, and his version of the joker was BIPOLAR!  Hamill could pull of happy Joker and angry Joker, sometimes in the same scene!
