That is called JetBlue. They are the beacon of awesomeness for air travel. Sadly, I have to fly US Airways in a month because I needed to go the airport JetBlue wasn't at. Guuuh at the two piece extra fees. |

Been to HEB yet? Best supermarket ever. http://www.heb.com/yourHEBStore/sLocator.jsp
Also, is it bat season at the bridge to the south in Austin? Versus, do you know? One of the creepiest things I ever seen was the bats taking off at dusk and flooding the sky. http://austin.about.com/cs/bats/p/bats.htm |

HEB is super win. There's one less than a mile from my house. ;D
As for the bats, I have no idea; I'll ask my dad. edit: he says it's right now.

Yeah we went to HEB the second night we were here and I was really amazed, I loved the produce. :3
Here is how pink HeK is... VERY PINK. He wasn't kidding. I'm not anywhere near as burned though. We had another nice evening. The hotel has a nice big BBQ out front so we were going to cook up all the leftovers we had before we left... but then HeK's co-worker went out and bought all sorts of stuff (he already had eaten all the stuff he bought THE DAY BEFORE) and so we had chicken, shrimp, steak, onions, peppers and mushrooms along with some fruit i cut up for desert. Tomorrow we are going to P. Terry's, I'm excited to see what it will be like. I'm sad that the trip is winding down, but its been awesome so far and there are some days left! |

I know when I took Continental Airlines from Boston to Dallas to Belize and back a few years ago, they had inflight movies. So they do exist. I've had nothing on the last six flights I've had in the US. Thats on United and American. :-[
On an other note, whats with all the people here driving while on their cell phone? From counting while Kurt (my co-worker) is driving, it would appear that two-thirds of other drivers are making calls! You guys need that California no-phone driving law. Too many people drift between lanes, etc. |

We just got back from P. Terry's. It was alright. The burgers were good, but nothing amazing.
Winnipeg has at least a dozen burger places that kick sand in it's face. However Molly's Ice-Cones, located in the same lot, is super win! |

Yeah the burgers were nice, I think they achieve what the restaurant wanted; fast food done right. But I think they are kinda missing something somehow, I dunno.

If you stuck to fish n' chips and bangers and mash like a good manc then you would be prepared for our fat-ass food. |

There's nothing wrong with American food. Just the portions.
I noticed that in food chains that we have in Canada, drink and food portions in America are one step larger and cost 75% as much. |

A medium soda at Whataburger is 32oz., you get unlimited free refills, and one costs...$1.50? Maybe $1.99? In Europe, it was generally at least $5 for a "large" soda of 16.9oz., no refills.

you invented it
A medium soda at Whataburger is about 946 mL, you get unlimited free refills, and one costs...$1.50? Maybe $1.99? In Europe, it was generally at least $5 for a "large" soda of 500mL, no refills. |

Well today was interesting.
Its our last night here and before we met up with some of the students from their class we were going to the mall one last time (I wanted to take another look through my favorite store before we left, because we don't have one in Canada). On the way there it started to rain pretty bad... We had been watching this stupid girl in a white truck drive like an idiot for several miles... she was tail-gating, severely impatient, changing lanes time and again because the traffic was slow. Then the rain started and she got behind us... HeK was driving and playing it safe, since we're driving a minivan on slick roads. We slow down to make a stop behind some cars at the upcoming light, and I guess the girl was changing lanes behind us again. I didn't see all of it, but she almost clipped our back bumper HeK said... But then she came careening in front of us. She totally lost control and headed off into the ditch, where she flipped the car. I've never seen anything like that before, never We pulled over and HeK was a bit rattled; we eventually got off the road and got out, running over with some others. The girl was crying but otherwise seemed alright. I had my phone out but no one would tell me where we were so I couldn't call 911... it was alright though, everyone else in there already had 911 on the line. Then some fat jerk decides to GET ON TOP OF THE TRUCK, which is teetering on the slope, looking like its going to roll onto its back and crush its roof. He's trying to open the top door so she can climb out, and then he tries to flip the truck back onto its wheels, both extremely retarded ideas. We all yell at him to get the fuck off the truck, but he just won't get off. HeK tells them that if they want to get her out they should use the back hatch so it wouldn't tip the truck, and so they open it, and the girl willingly crawls out. She's alright, just crying and scared. In like five minutes the ambulance is there, telling everyone to go; so we leave once she's in good hands. Christ, that scared the living daylights out of me. Then we get back on our way... and WITHIN SIGHT there is another accident, much less serious. I shook the rest of the shopping trip and then the way home. |

No one needs a Litre of soda. Not in a single sitting. Regarding the girl nearly killing us; RWD GMC Jimmy, tropical rain and idiocy = danger to everyone. You could hear her on the throttle, either coasting or romping on it; not sustaining a solid speed. I was worried when she was behind us, tailgating. She didn't approve that I was slowing for a red signal and decided to quickly pass us without first checking the right-hand lane. After nearly clipping our rear corner, she disappears from my mirrors and reappears broadside in front view! Only just missing us a second time, her top-heavy SUV flipped into the ditch. As both lanes of the freeway come to a halt, everyone came running trying to help this girl. Some were trying to flip the truck from it's side back onto it's wheels (good luck doing that up hill) while others were attempting to pull the driver from sky-facing door. The few of us with our heads on straight stabilized the truck while others helped the driver out the rear glass hatch, and then safely vacating the area. I would have preferred that the driver stayed put until emergency crews appeared, if the situation were otherwise one can do more damage then help and be held liable. |
