Okay, so recently my modem shat the bed and I got a new one this saturday. I power everything up, play some tf2, leave the house for the night. I come back and now steam can't connect to the internet.

Close Steam, Delete ClientRegistry.blob, open steam, wait for it to update
That worked for me, i had the same issue

Steam is shit. My steam doesn't let me appear in stats, although I am not using any 3rd party programs (I don't hack, it's all skills).
