EV are the Effort Values, they are a "new" engine that started on Ruby/Sapphire and bases on giving your pokemon extra points depending on wich pokemon they defeat. every Pokemon can have a certain number of EV.

For example, defeating a Victreebel gives your pokemon +3 Sp.Attack EV

Why a Flareon? Everyone should know that a Flareon's main stat is its high ATK power, which lends to some pretty powerful FIRE type attacks. Except all but like TWO FIRE type attacks are Special.

You're screwed if you want to use flamethrower or Overheat. An Arcanine or Magmortar with the right kind of personality would work pretty good as well.
Fire Fang and Flamewheel are the two physical FIRE types I can think of right now.

I agree, Flareon, as most "Eon"s suck balls, but it is cute just like Chimecho

On the contrary, Vaporeon who has a high HP and an aboveish average special attack can abuse Surf pretty well. Surf, one of the BEST moves in the game, simply because it does a solid slum of damage.

And Jolteon, because it's speed and special attack value also make it a good user of Thunderbolt, and its electric, which usually implies its fast.

Though I love my Weavile, it has so many weaknesses (x4 vs fighting, and bad def? Insta death), but its very effective with its adamant nature (+10% atk), super high atk and spd, with Ice Punch it rips the field. I mean, not much is resistant against ice, but a lot are effective against it.

Umbreon is made of win, top 5 in both special Defense and regular defense, its a fucking tank
