Im jdub and for the last few months Ive been all up in your server backburnering your peoples. I have wanted to play with you guys since Orange Box first came out but I had to wait until I got a computer that didnt think Quake 3 was revolutionary technology. Growing up videogames were my books. The first game I can remember playing was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES.  My parents never had a problem with me playing games all the time but they did make me read the words out loud and disguised math questions when asking me how many points I got or how many lives I had left. I grew up with 2 brothers and a sister with 5 years between me the oldest and my youngest sibling so every game had to become multiplayer. We switched out controllers when dying in zelda, or even between random encounters in Final Fantasy. This naturally made us all very competitive people, which led to my other love, sports.  I played football, basketball, and ran track all through school, but Im open to any competitive sport. Games of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, basketball, even uno, often led to me and my siblings arguing and choosing not to talk to each other the rest of the day. My parents actually banned Monopoly in our house because the games usually ended in house/motel fights. So if it seems like Psyps complains when he is playing, its from years of frustrating losses : ).

I guess the competitiveness is the reason I grew away from the rpg and other mostly single player genres. I still play the cream of the crop but I usually steer towards fighting/shooting games, and I won some cash playing in Madden and Nba Live tourneys. I go to Western Carolina and Im considering sports journalism. I went on a couple of visits to other schools for football but  college sports seem more like a job than a hobby, and I wasnt forced to play for my education because of my grades, so now Im the guy that does every intramural sport. I grew up on hip-hop but with its recent state I mainly just listen to the old stuff and a lot of video game music. I dont dislike rock but Ive never taken the time to find artist that I enjoy.

I found you guys through dtoid, and joined apparently after the exodus. I look at TF2 as video game beer pong. I would like to win but as long as Im having fun Im ok. It lets me relax from games like CoD and Unreal. I dont do tourney play in videogames anymore except for fun at school, but still some games are just hard to enjoy when losing. I dont have that problem with TF2. Oddly, it flares up most with family Mario Kart or Mario party games. This server is great though and has the same internet humor I grew to love on dtoid and at school.

So if you see me on give me a friend invite.

Feeling that, Christmas Monopoly invariably descended into physical violence in my house.

I had and read the usual kid books. I just mean that before kindergarten I didnt use flash cards or educational games, just played regular games. It was basically the same, Every once in a while I have to ask my parents what a certain word was and sound them out, just in a less boring way. It seems like it worked out fine. Me and my siblings do good in school and we havent went on violent rampages. ;D

Welcome.

Also: dark beer or wine?

Choose wisely, as our friendship is solely dependent on your answer.

If a game of monopoly DOESN'T end with someone flpping the board over with little pieces everywhere; you're doing it wrong.

Monopoly makes the best drinking game.
Drink when you pay someone, drink when you pass go.
