I've always wondered where the stores that are going out of business get their signs. They are always the same colors (reddish-orange and yellow) and the same font. I've also always wondered where homeless people get their sharpees and to some extent their cardboard (I bet cardboard is fairly easy to come across though). So here is the thought: make a business for selling people this stuff. It'd be like the amazon for those down on their luck. We could call it "Your Fucked Now What?" (www.yfnw.com???).Â
We could sell the signs and supplies for those going out of business and then give them a discount on sharpees, shopping carts and cardboard for when they are homeless. Nice cardboard sign 2$, ratty folded cardboard sign 5$. And the solution to the problem of homeless not having money to buy the cardboard, sharpees and shopping carts? Let them be the sign holders for those going out of business instead of payment then offer them as part of the going out of business package. With the economy going the way it is there can be quite a market. Any ideas of what else we could offer? It seems like a pretty crass idea but the US has had a long tradition of exploiting people overseas so don't you think it's better to exploit people here? People are always complaining about how we ship our jobs overseas, well this is the perfect opportunity to bring this kind of thing back home. |

[/quote] I think it's a family guy reference, though the original quote from the show is, "Oh, it's just a place where homeless people come to shave and go BM." |

The most awesome thing to see would be when your going out of business sign store goes out of business. Would people even realize you were going out of business or would they think you were having a big sale on your signs?
