God Oblivion was the textbook case of how you can have an awesome engine but make one of the worst most bland RPG's of all time... And that's not even starting about the levelling system and all the other epic mistakes... Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it. |

Yeah, like "Basic Instinct", Female_EyeCandy_BodyReplacement, BTMOD Customization, LOD Texture Replacement Pack, etc. I ultimately did enjoy Oblivion. Sameness of environment elements and bad-taste-in-mouth levelling system aside, I did enjoy the Martin story and the stories that emerged through the guild quests. I also enjoyed the sandbox element with certain mods. Would Audiosurf qualify? What about No More Heroes? My gaming scope this year has literally been 90% TF2 and 10% other things so I'm pretty unqualified to nominate anything. |

TF2? It's like... still sort of out... coming out... constantly.... something.
Fuck I dunno, the only game from this year I've played a lot is FFTA2, so I choose that so far. (09-11-2008, 05:11 PM)Dave link Wrote:i would totaly ride that gay ass dragon thing.

Oh and on console the GOTY is Castle Crashers hands down. It was amazing when I played it TWO YEARS ago. So it must be the greatest game ever now.

I would throw No More Heroes in there although that is more of a "emotional pick" than a logical one. All and all I am going to have to put my money on Spore for GOTY.

I was going to say, because aside from the character design and art style the game wasn't all that good. Even the 'good' ending was disappointing.
