Since I'm such obvious pubscrub, I best get to making an intro post before I make myself look even worse with my poorly thought out post in the Arena discussion :-X

My name is Pat (Aka Maxon or known as Rattlehead on Steam) and I'm 22.  Been playing videogames since I was 4 and never looked back.  PC gaming has only been for the past four years, but I play a good lot of games and do alright at them.  Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4, Battlefield 2, BF 2142, STALKER: SOC, and plenty others I've touched.  I've also dabbled in MMO's, though there hasn't been one to keep my attention for too long since Star Wars Galaxies was raped into nothingness.

I'll also play most anything if it looks like I'll have fun with it, like Banjo-Kazooie and I play both Guitar Hero and Rock Band.  Not really a fanboy of any system, though to me the 360 is the stronger and more enjoyable system of the three.  Did have a Wii at one time, but there is such a weak selection of singleplayer games that I just wasn't using it at all.  Probably won't ever touch the PS3 since I have the 360 already and the exclusives for the PS3 are pretty far and few between when it comes to being really good to me.

I currently just moved to Florida from Alaska and trying to find work to keep me busy and to keep me from going broke, though it does give me alot of time to play games.  Also waiting for the extreme heat to go away so I can enjoy the more normal heat that'll come in a few months.

I'm also into metal music pretty heavily, absolutely love thrash and fast music.  I do listen to classic rock and hard rock, enjoying bands that have been around longer than most newer ones.

Currently I just got back into TF2 the past week with some encouragement from Joel (He's so convincing by just typing "o.o") and have really been enjoying the BRB,U servers.  My big classes are Pyro, Heavy, and Sniper, though I like to fool with them all depending on what is needed.  If we are getting sniped bad, I'll counter-snipe.  No pyro's?  I'll go Pryo.  2 Heavies, no medic?  I'll go medic.  I'm up for whatever helps the team out usually.

In summary... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMmUVCsYTjI

I'm in the middle of moving and writing my thesis, so I don't have time for fancy pics. You got a nice intro though. :-P

Why did you leave Alaska? I figure it would be rad to live there as well as fuck with your circadian rhythm.

Holy shit, you moved here from Alaska?  What do you think of our storm-heat-storm-heat-storm-heat-drought-heat cycle?

Where I lived, the cost of living was getting pretty crazy.  Even with the free money we get every year, everything was just too expensive.  And since my dad retired, we figured we would move away.  Since we had family in Florida, it seemed like a good place to start new.

Well I've only been here since the end of May, but other than the heat, the rain and weather don't bother me much.  Where I lived in Alaska, we would go a week straight with nothing, but cloudy weather and rain non stop.  I'm definitely looking forward to when it drops in a couple week so it'll be more like summer was in Alaska, heh.

Nope I haven't.  I've tried alot, but never got to that one.  I've tried City of Hero's, Final Fantasy XI, Everquest 2, Lord of the Rings, and Tabula Rasa which was the only I really liked cause I was tired of fantasy games and it was fairly close to SWG.  The second most played one was World of Warcraft, but after running Molten Core 3 times a week for almost no reward, I realized I hated the game lol Not even the first expansion got me back into it for long.

In south florida the only difference between summer and winter is the amount of rain, but in north florida where I live it gets surprisingly cold.  Also the temperature varies by some 30-40 degrees in a day - so be prepared to walk out and freeze your ass off then change into some warmer clothes only to need to go back to shorts midday.

Who the hell am I kidding you northerners always wander around in a t-shirt and shorts year round saying how nice and brisk the weather is when we are bundled up in sweaters and jackets.  Pro-tip no matter how tempted you are do not make these comments don't, most natives will want to punch you in the face.  We do not like having it rubbed into our face how little cold tolerance we have.

Well I live in Fort Myers which is southwest and my aunt says the weather will drop down to cold enough that folks wear jackets and warmer clothing, being anywhere from 50 to 70ish with no humidity which is glorious to me.  And I'll try not rub it in too much, coming from a place where the average winter is 35 and below XD

I took a road trip out to California for the Rosebowl, it was December 31st and in the high 50s/low 60s and we were going around in shorts and T-shirts in wonderment of how warm it was. All the locals looked at us funny while wearing sweatshirts and coats because they thought it was "cold" out.

Anything above 50 is shorts weather in the midwest Smile
