The secret is recognizing it will/should be temporary until you know you or they are over it.  So on the off-chance you do meet an awesome chick keep her as a friend in the short-term or you will do enough dumb shit to fill this thread.

Hm.. let's see...well when I was in grade 6/7 I had to switch schools. After being in the new school for a week, they had some stupid school dance. I already had lots of friends but I was so depressed because I missed my old friends that I went to the dance and sat in the corner of the gym and cried with my headphones in my ear playing pokemon on my GBC.

Hm. I really don't know...

I got teased for being fat a lot as a kid. Like all the motherfucking TIME. One kid in particular would just follow me around and keep it up all the fucking time while I practiced my "ignore them" shit. I tried chasing him around one day, I was seriously going to kill him.

Then one day some many years later he tried that shit in the schoolyard and I finally gave up; we were under the monkey bars and he was laying it on me as usual. I grabbed the bars, pulled myself up, and fucked up his kneecap with my huge boots. He couldn't play hockey for a month after. Maybe not emo, aside from the constantly being teased my whole life pretty much about being a fatty I guess.

To this day I have terrible self esteem and am constantly questioning my self worth as a human, let alone a female. Most days I just cover it up, but you know, when no one's looking, it still gets me down.

Emo, I know, but its not as bad as it sounds.

Hmmm. After my girlfriend put me through a lot of shit I'm not really up for sharing, I bought and finished a 1 liter bottle of 151 (straight, no mixes) over the course of a Friday night/Saturday morning. Oh, and liking P!ATD, FOB, LP, and probably a few other bands at some point in my life. I listen to that stuff and think it's garbage, but at some point I had myself convinced it was good stuff. That phase also showed up in my writing a LOT around that time. I'm embarrassed about some of the stuff I've written; it doesn't help that an astounding number of writers - both past and present - have had issues with drug abuse, alcoholism, and depression.

edit: My girlfriend cried earlier today because someone told her David Foster had just died. It wasn't until a few minutes later that someone clarified it was David Foster Wallace. :-[

I cant think of anything too emo that Ive done, but it was more of a response to someone saying 'poor sponson' for being picked on, but he did stab someone with a key. Kids, especially in middle school/early highschool can be complete dicks
