I just read 2,000,000 people in the greater columbus area don't have power now, as for me according to my uncle and friend who have been watching my house we have power, but there's huge tree branches and a swing in our pool now. :<

well, I'm on my 50th hour sans electrica.  Duke (the energy company that services the greater Cincinnati area sent 130 personnel down to the gulf coast over the weekend to help out down there.  I guess they didn't notice the hurricane bearing down on them.  Monday they recalled all 130 and request another shit ton from the Carolinas.  I'm thinking they're gonna get to oxford around thursday.  Until then i'm using the university internet (they're on emergency power <3steam plant, glad my login still works). 

As hurricane survival experience goes.  This is pretty shitty.  It didn't even fucking rain.  Yet it managed to cripple the tri-state from Louisville to Columbus, inciting all sort of chaos, (OMG we're gonna run out of gas!! everyone! drive around for a gas station with power and pay $8 a gallon!  ZOMG WE HAVE NO FOOOD!!! Light fires in the yards cause general disorder!)  providing further evidence that Ohio is full of unprepared, panicky Pussies.
