Qalamari is the greatest person

You guys all know Qalamar right? He's a Dtoid user, plays on our server occasionally, likes Pokemon, Megaman and Metal Gear Solid and also happens to be the greatest person.

Well today, he messages me during a game of TF2 together, saying he has a Pokemon to give me (we're often trading/gifting critters back and forth) and after switching to sepc, getting out my DS and a stock Pokemon to trade: I discover what Pokemon Qalamari is sending over: A fucking legit Celebi!



In case you were wondering, Celebi is the second generation equivalent to Mew, in that she's an ultra rare and powerful Pokemon that is unobtainable in the game with out hacking or attending a special event. Only in Celebi's case, there have been no events in the US in which one could be acquired.  She's also my favorite Pokemon, and one I've sought to obtain one legitly since I first laid my hands on Pokemon Gold, making it my personal Holy Grail of gaming.

And now I have the grail.

Words can not express my glee upon receiving this impromptu and incredible gift, so a video will have to suffice. I'm truly amazed at the selflessness and generosity of Qala (although based on past precedent I shouldn't be and am forever in his debt, I've promised him a Jirachi (another event only Pokemon) and a life time of drawings of whatever he requests, but he was happy to give it to me for nothing (although I'm still going to give him the stuff ) because he's just that amazing, which is why I think we can all agree that he is the greatest person.

a Clone of a Legit, but Legit after all, so it works for me and for the Pokemon community (they  even accept a full Pokedex with fake Celebi and Jirachi)

I got extremely lucky with some used-game purchases. I bought used copies of Emerald, Fire Red, and Rupy so I could mine the saved games using PAL-Park and/or replay them if I ever wanted to. I had a full dex in Gold and in Blue, and had played through Rupy on an emulator.

Such BS that you can't transfer pokes from the old games...anyway, so Emerald had a full dex, fire red and like 80%, and Rupy was at like 50%. While I can't verify if they aren't sharked or not, they look pretty legit to me.

Theres better calm mind passers and better walls that are nearly as rare, if you want a special defense tank, Umbreon is far better. It also has much higher defense as well, and dark types don't have 4 weaknesses like grass types.

As for a calm mind passer, espeon is a better choice due to a higher speed stat.

Theres better calm mind passers and better walls that are nearly as rare, if you want a special defense tank, Umbreon is far better. It also has much higher defense as well, and dark types don't have 4 weaknesses like grass types.

Heavy hitting fighting types like Heracross and Infernape (who are stables of most teams) destroy Umbreon, plus Siritomb fills his niche pretty well in my team. Umbreon is pretty slick though!

Celebi trumps Espon by a lot due to: Recover and better defensive stats, both of which help it to both wall of the team, and baton pass when met with a threat it can't handle. Plus it gets Leech Seed (which can be baton passed), Heal Bell and Grass Knot, meaning it can be anything from a status healer to a special sweeper and everything in between.

Plus I'm just a fan of the Pokemon itself
