Judging from the 1+2 logo I'm guessing it's the former. It's be awesome, but it's not strictly nesceary. Mother 1 was officalt translated by Ninty (they never released it due to the SNES already being released) and the rom is pretty easy to NOT find.

Yeah considering Mother 1 and 2 have been translated by Nintendo on their original systems, I'm not quite sure why Mato and co. would spend the time to translate the GBA port.

I figure they are like this because of the format being the GBA.  It would be very hard to recognize details on them if they were smaller.  The SNES had a higher resolution and obviously would be played on a much bigger screen.

In order to get rid of the 0.25-0.5 second lag that will throw off music combos, in Visual Boy advance under emulator options set the priority to highest, or alternatively open the task manager (ctrl-alt-del) and set visualboy.exe to 'highest'.

Combos got to be MUCH easier
