What what?
Apparently this enables 12v12 in arena-mode. It's buggy and hacked-together from the sound of it, but it might work. Who's interested? FTC: Quote:I got a blue sniper spawn with the red on Revine... Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

I swear people just lack intelligence sometimes. Valve spends however long designing, testing and tweaking the new mode and releases their maps which are clearly designed for 8v8 but people start to cry about sitting out and suddenly it's decided that 12v12 would suit the areas better? Nice work.

Well, the problem is that it doesn't really matter what Valve playtests; in the end, what's fun is what matters more. Most people in public servers don't find sitting out fun. Hell, they don't even enjoy waiting to respawn. That's why 24/7 2Fort Instant-Respawn servers are so popular. In the end, the choice (for server admins owners anyways) is between doing what valve intended and filling the servers more often. I prefer arena as 8v8 or smaller, but realistically, I'll probably run the plugin simply because it'll be what keeps bodies in the server.

Nice work. In the end, they should simply include a cvar, so we don't have to make some work around. like sv_arena_teamsize, this defaults to 8, if an admin wants to make it smaller they can, if they want to make it larger they can also do that. They did the exact same thing with respawn times, crits, the maximum number of players on the server, and sv_tags. People seem to forget that initially you were not allowed to control any of these things with an out of the box vanilla server. People quickly found ways around all of these things using plugins and for the most part it caters to a certain audience. It also just to happens that the majority of people that play TF2 do not like out of the box play. Whether it be custom maps, more people, or instant spawn, the number of 'vanilla no mod' server is very small. Â Sig by Joel |

Steamrolls are one of the fastest ways to empty a server of people and an admin's #1 job after rule enforcement is to keep the servers as full as possible as often as possible. Ya only 2 or 3 snipers, but what happens when those ones suck? Your team gets sniped continuously and a good sniper is left waiting for the bad ones to change, or what about when you get 3 spies that ignore sentries and get killed trying to backstab pyros over and over? Medics that refuse to heal more than heavies, suicide pyros, demos and soldiers that cant even rocket/sticky jump, I find watching the people good at these classes being totally powerless until the bad ones decide to play something else less fun than playing against or with all of one class. |

Is there some way I could be exempt from anti-micspam? On Commentator Sundays I have to limit myself to bursts of speech.

The anti-micspam plugin autodetects HLDJ/HLSS. It doesn't ban for use of an actual mic. Go crazy ;D Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

Better plugin for managing arena mode team sizes: http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=76466
Supposedly less resource intensive, which is always a good thing. Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

Bump for plugin suggestion:
Player All-talk Basically, it's a plugin that allows there to be one button for team talk and one button for all talk, so you can actually coordinate a team's attacks without the other guys knowing what you're doing. I ran it on #2 for SBS when i needed to make announcements while all-talk was off, and it worked out pretty well. The plugin also has the ability to limit alltalk to specific clans (via tag recognition) and maybe some other fancy stuff by now. I'm suggesting it because a lot of folks I play late-night with have said they would prefer such a system, and would not mind the extra keybinding necessary in order to accommodate it. Btw, the binding for alltalk would be: Code: alias +alltalk "voiceall; +voicerecord" Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

Well if there is a way to keep the regular binding to all talk, and just add another button for team talk, if they don't pay attention it doesn't really matter.
