I wouldn't call Global Warming an apocalypse... Not the cataclysmic variety anyway... And the Massive Smiting from Fluffy is kinda a general religious end of the world.

Actually if that were to go off the ash and debris that would go up into the atmosphere would drastically change the entire world.  Even if the ash doesn't darken out the skies in Europe/Asia the world would still get affected by acid rain and other adverse weather.

And according to some Christians, the world will end in 2012.  The sings pointing to that are the world is united under a false king (supposed to relate to the european union), something relating to the many earthquakes/natural disasters in the last year, the kingdoms of the North, South, East, and West fighting for the city of god (U.S., Russia, China, and I believe they said Iraq participating in the conflict in Israel).
