its more about the general culture of internet trolling and anonymity, which I fully support, not to the extent of that second guy that practically lived out of a backpack he was so paranoid. But more along the lines of the first guy, usually the people that get trolled the most are the ones that rise to the occasion.

Being able to be anonymous is one of the hallmarks of the internet and gives us unparalleled freedom. I'll take the good of being able to say what I want philosophically without fear of government tracking me down (ie like the Chinese) and the freedom of torrents and warez, as well as the ability to create a new identity if you fuck up somewhere, with all the bad things that come with it.

Would you rather it be you have one online handle and that's it for life, everything you do is tracked by some monitoring organization, everything you say/download attributed to you? Yea, less asshattery, but it would be like big brother watching everything you say/do/think, and I dont think anyone wants that.
