Hey do any torrents work with patches?

I ordered my copy from Amazon last week and it still hasn't arrived so I'm tired of waiting.  So, do the torrents work just like the normal version?  I don't want to bother if they won't.

They do but I had a pain in the ass time finding a torrent that worked properly.  I just got fed up and bought the game via steam

Already been tentatively discussed ITT, the illicitly obtained versions are fine. I played this release and it was flawless with the exception of the game itself being wank.

I just finished the game a few days ago.  The whole game up to the ending was awesome, but the ending was shite.  Now I'm starting a new game with Jaynus's realism mod, and it feels a lot more like old Fallout.  Get used to dying all the time though.

I'm using some XFO mod, right from the get go.

Heh you know you play a Bethesda game when before you even play it for the first time you go and get some mods you might like and install them.

After I fixed my crashing issues this game's fucking sweet.  I like how the dialog tree's are more complicated and involved than Oblivion's "Rumors" bullshit, especially ones related to quests.  Hell I had about 6-7 different speech options for that one cannibal quest on a particular character and each one had a different result (probibly minor result but different at that).  I wish I didn't make my guy into some big fucking science nerd who has no Charisma/speech skills because I'd like to try out some of the options available for that, that I have seen.

It's modular so you can tweak and do anything you want really, which makes it great.

Also, I keep right clicking hoping to melee the molerats away. Fallout really needs a button to push enemies away with a swing of the old shotgun.

Hold down tab.  It is 100% useless though without mods... it only adds a very small 10 foot ring of light around you that isn't too bright.

Laser pistol + 100% energy = dead molerat in 2 hits, 1 if it crits (and it auto-crits when you sneak). Fuck melee in its stupid face.

Melee is so broken in fallout 3 its not even funny, just get the shiskabob, its the best melee in the game and you get it right away

That said, running around in tesla armor with the power fist looks fucking awesome.

Also, I was amused by the 40k reference re: the brotherhood. Initiates wear recon (scout) armor, and full brothers wear power armor.

Also, the recon helmet looks pretty bitchin with sunglasses when worn with power armor.

Lack of Gauss weapons should sadden you more.  Seriously was I the only one who went into my dark room when I found out there were no such weapons in the game?

It's T-51, not 81.  Personally I prefer the T-51b Power Armor with the shady hat and lucky sunglasses.  Also the Tesla Power Pack if you can "find" it.
