The Salton Sea is going to get shit votes because no one has seen it :'(
Fucking bad ass movie about meth addicts and a bunch of other shit I can't say without ruining the movie. Let's just say things build and get complicated and then make a lot more sense. |

Last round it was really hard for me to pick just five out of so many awesome movies, but this time it was really easy. Random needs more random in it.

I was looking at this list all worried because I didn't see Pulp Fiction, then I saw it won last round. So it's all cool. Go Spirited Away!
Feeling generous? Karf is a respectable human being. http://i.imgur.com/MTVw5.png Thank you, Mr. Pelican. |

Damn, godfather didn't make the cut...
OK... there are a lot of my favourites in this one... Oldboy maybe being one of the best ones but it has no chance in hell of winning because it's not an english language movie. (If you ever have the chance, see it... Probably one of the best revenge movies ever and QT said it was one of the main influences for Kill Bill) Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it. |

King of Kong is seriously a really good documentary- it's not gonna win, but everyone should go watch it anyway.

Given that Vol. 1 and Oldboy came out in the same year, I very much doubt either influenced the other in any way. It was a great film but not that great and my opinion has nothing to do with it being foreign language. There were some great shots and some good performances but it lacked any subtlety and relied way too much on the big twist that anyone with a brain would have seen coming about half an hour prior. Wow, déjà vu No way of saying this without sounding like an utter prick but I preferred the director's earlier work. The first film in the revenge trilogy - I forget its name but the one about the brother and sister - was ace as was the short film he did set in a morgue, the name of which I've also forgotten 8) EDIT: I actually felt bad voting for Predator and Total Recall over Oldboy but now I'm happy I did. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? IS YOUR DUTCH ASS HAPPY? |
