Who here has beaten it, and how?
I managed to ascend as a level 20-something chaotic elven wizard. Took me a couple hundred tries. I had a picture around somewhere, but I lost it. |

Well, it's really only possible with save copying.

nethack++, play it loads at work but I refuse to save copy because I'm stubborn and seeing all the cool ways to die is part of the fun.
"It's the journey that counts not the destination" <3 Nethack <3 It's what diablo was inspired by and is still a lot deeper than any other hack and slash game I've ever played. Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it. |

GODDAMNIT! So fucking close. It was completely legitimate too, I had survived all the way through to the bottom and all the way back up to the Plane of Fire. Then I drown in lava. With full health. This game is so cheap. |

I decided I need Nethack on my work computer.
What is everyone's favorite version? I usually play old school ASCII based Nethack but I'm ready for a change and I'm open to graphical versions. |

I always preferred the ascii version because it left a lot to your imagination...

I play Slash'em. Doppelganger random poly into Chromatic Dragon FTW.
Also, place your bones here. |
