So, a couple of things. It's not like I've been active on here for a while -  that's not a community thing it's just been that everybody's brain has been consumed with L4D - but I will be going away on a cruise in Mexico/Jamaica/Grand Cayman Islands for the next week. So don't look forward to too much Company of Heroes or TF2.

Also (praises be!) I reaped enough dinero del Navidad to score me some zombie action. I might even be on tonight, if the download is brisk.

Also, anybody know how to smuggle liquor back through customs? Can I just dig it down into my luggage and cover it with some shirts or do I have to buy some KY and go to extreme measures?

I don't know what liquor customs is like, but don't plan on bringing back any cigars with you.  Tongue

Not too positive, I've only had to deal with people at the Canadian border, but all they did was make me ruffle through my clothes for a few seconds. Stick it at the bottom is my opinion. Or in your bottom, either works for me.

I went on a cruise to the bahamas a few months ago and when we got back they just asked me If I had anything.  (you're allowed 1 litre or something like 1 big bottle) I said I had 1 (which I did) and they didnt say anything more, but thanks have a nice day.

I can't say I didnt see a few bad being opened, but from what i've heard they really dont care much.

trust me... I'm a 2L

I'm pretty sure you can bring back as much as you want, but anything above the exemption limit will be charged duty and tax (which iirc isn't cheap). Make sure to double check on that, which isn't really hard to search on. Tongue

Don't actually try to smuggle it though, or we'll never see you again. Be upfront and honest.

As for packing, unless you have some special container just bring some plastic bags, and pack them in your luggage with your clothes to pad them as best you can. If you ask the place you buy it from however they might have some boxes that they use.

Check the laws so see about that. If you're legal to buy it wherever you got it, maybe you're allowed to bring it across the border. Depends on what the age to carry it is I suppose.

That's what I was wondering. Even if it isn't legal to buy or transport, I thought perhaps somebody who's had experience with airport customs might clue me in to the procedures, so I could see if maybe I wouldn't have to declare it.
