I ended up working from home, since the MTA (Maryland Transit Admin) said that if we didn't have to take mass transit today, don't.

None of my classes got canceled. Not much snow really, but a lot of the profs live in Asheville which is an hour away and they got snowed in. We did manage to pull up MSNBC online in my Child/Adolescent Psych class to watch the inauguration (CNN didn't work). Then, it got to his oath and the video stalled and disappeared. We pulled it back up again to be greeted by... "This election footage brought to you interruption-free by Audi." followed by a thirty-second Audi commercial.

Since my school is know for being a commuter school and it's in Northern Virginia, they decided to cancel classes today which means we got another day of winter break. I'm glad I didn't have to travel today though, traffic on 66 would have been more nightmare-ish than normal even if all the bridges into DC from VA were closed during the inauguration.

It's a balmy -3 C here (26.6f), I had work.
I spent nearly the entire day trying to install Windows 2000 on a blade-PC. Third day in a row fighting with it.


At least I had cable TV in that lab.
