I had put down my pre-rder for afro samurai when the girl behind the counter hands me this pretty unassuming box to leave with, I was pleasently surprised to get a cool figurine as a bonus, that I thought I'd share with you guys

Open the box to reveal some afro headed samurai a la Han Solo encased in carbonite


Apparently the figure was DIY

I dunno, the few episodes of Afro Samurai I saw seemed to have over the top violence for violence sake. Ill give it a plus for the Japanese portraying an African that isn't black face.

Ummm, isn't Afro Samurai only 6 episodes anyways?  I got the DVD set thing for $6 or something.  It's not complex or long, but OK for what it is.


Also Samurai Champloo was amazing for what they did with the setting.  NINJA BASEBALL!
