Good CTF maps are few and far between and unless a lot of people, and I'm talking like super-majority wants them off, Im hesitant to take them out. CZ is great, most of you are just spoiled and don't like learning new maps. Also I would like to request that people refrain from being rude when criticizing maps, especially ones made by people that have joined the community.

Canalzone was fun the first 3 times we all played it, but now everytime i play it there are only 1vs1 battles on the points on the border and a huge fight on Fountain, unless there is a sentry, that only takes a spy to kill because the Engie is too busy capping one of the points on the other side of the map because nobody was there

I just wish people would quit bitching about a map they land on and don't like. It makes you sound like a little shit most of the time. Be courteous to other players and play a map for at least one round, then you can nominate and rtv.

I disagree, the way you learn best when making maps is by hearing from the people who like the map the least. The people that state 'it sucks, and heres why'. For some people you might never be able to please them, but thats the same with making any kind of art/product/map you can't please everyone. And I agree with Budr, while its nice to have someone stop by, in the end you are just promoting your map and don't really have much in the way of intentions of sticking around and actively posting in other threads or coming out to events. Continually changing maps will clear a server out faster than a round on a bad one. The thing is since we have all custom, people often are downloading the map, if you change on them again, it fucks that up and then they have to download...AGAIN  Sig by Joel

By rude I meant being rude. Criticism is the standard with this as it should be but if you aren't saying why you don't like something and just calling it a piece of shit I think it's a bit mean to the creator considering how much time they put into it.
Now they just know that people hate it, possibly them and they don't know why or how to make it better. That was my point. I just thought people should show a little respect, I mean I tried hammer and its hard as balls. |

It's confusing as anything, I don't care how many layout tweaks or improved map images on the walls. I can't find my way around, and those that can have a huge advantage. Also the middle cap turns out to be the only one that matters most games and its really not fun. It's hard to defend but at the same time gets ignored by crappy teams.
