Misanthrope that I am, I hate writing posts that are even semi-sincere.

That said...I'd like to thank everyone in this community for making what it is. I'd like to thank all the people who have helped pay for servers, and the people who have hosted servers on their own boxes, and all the server and forum admins. But I'd especially like to thank Caff.

BRB, Uninstalling has existed for ~15 months.

During that time he has:

Paid for and administrated servers. Yeah, he spends real money so other people can have a cool place to play. It's a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to play on someone else's server. Also, most servers either have no admin presence (ours does) or have nazi admins (ours doesn't).

Started and maintained community events. Running an event and keeping it interesting every week isn't easy.

Created awesome maps.  It takes a long fucking time even to make a shitty map. I know.

Knows technical servery stuff. Technical servery stuff is scaaaary.

And dealt with drama like a mature human being. On the fucking internet! Who acts like an adult on the internet?

Other stuff I have forgotten/don't know about. It exists, I'm sure.


Short version: he's cool, and, to be quite serious, this community wouldn't exist without him. It's easy to forget how special this place is. Most gaming communities are kinda lame, to be honest.


Also, he's hot.
